When laying the herringbone pattern, the basic rule is to arrange the parquet strips in such a way that they form the V-shaped “herringbone plait”, which points towards a certain direction in the room. Which direction depends on the variant of the laying pattern. If the herringbone parquet flooring is laid at a 0-degree angle, the plaits run parallel to two walls. Arranged at a 45-degree angle, the pattern runs through the room diagonally.
