Transition profiles are always used where flooring of differing heights need to be joined. If laminate flooring is laid in one room, for example, but the tiles in the adjoining hallway are greater in height, this may amount to a difference of several millimetres. Differences of up to 12 mm can be bridged, depending on the profile type. Transition profiles are available in various colours: anodised sand, anodised silver and stainless steel surface. Some profiles are additionally coated in laminate foil and can then be used to match the colour of different flooring types.
