Sustainable resource management with HDF

You can produce almost nine times more surface area from the trunk of one oak tree if, instead of choosing solid wood planks, you choose our parquet flooring with the 2.5 mm AquaSafe wear layer and HDF base board.

Only the best wood from German forests - what is HDF?

HDF stands for High Density Fibreboard. The most important component is hardwoods such as beech and oak. Lower quality woods or bark have no place in our HDF boards. Softwoods such as pine and spruce are added to the hardwood fibres. Their natural resins promote bonding of the fibres once compressed.

Why we insist on using HDF base boards in our parquet flooring

  • 1. Stabilises the wear layer and increases resistance to denting
  • 2. Reduced room noise due to high density
  • 3. Easy to click together due to precise side and end connections
  • 4. Quick to install thanks to easy click profile
  • 5. Increased stability of shape
  • 6. Middle layer spruce fibres do not show through on the surface
  • 7. Lasting joint look due to the patented click system which works on pre-tension
