The surface finish is an important aspect of the quality of our products. This involves a great deal of technology, applied through the four varnish and oil surfaces developed here by us. All the variations are carefully developed and, of course, made in Germany.
Natural matt varnish seal for parquet flooring
Duratec Plus
The natural matt varnish seal Duratec Plus on our parquet flooring is particularly durable, easy to maintain and naturally kind to the environment as it is solvent-free. The Plus stands for a variation on our seven-layer Duratec varnish composition. The mixture of varnishes in the individual layers and the order in which they are applied take account of the fact that parquet floors may be sanded. Each element in the composition consists of formaldehyde-free, UV-hardened and ecologically sound acrylic varnish. All of this means that Duratec Plus provides an easy-care and long-life surface for parquet floors.

The environmentally friendly varnish seal on our veneer flooring is particularly durable and easy to maintain. Each element in the varnish composition consists of formaldehyde-free, UV-hardened and ecologically sound acrylic varnish. This varnish is particularly tough since, unlike with parquet floors, we did not have to take into account that these floors might ever be sanded.
UV hardened oil surfaces for parquet flooring, ready for residential use Weartec
Weartec
Our UV-hardened oil brings out the best in many types of wood. Woods such as cherry tree or walnut take on a warm, natural radiance when their surfaces are treated. The Weartec surface is a factory-applied, high-quality, UV-hardened oil surface with a special base treatment for a particularly natural radiance. The floor is treated ready for residential use and is easy to maintain, just like a varnished parquet floor, and therefore will not need to be re-oiled.
Natural oils for a breathable surface
Weartec Nature
The natural oil surface of our parquet flooring PD 550 consists of natural raw materials based on sunflower and safflower oil and is applied to the wood in two stages. This ensures a natural appearance with a subtle sheen. The Weartec Nature surface is porous and thus breathable. It has a moisture regulating effect and ensures a healthy atmosphere in the room. The naturally oiled surface requires special care which gives the floor a natural patina and provides extraordinary durability. Oil can be reapplied or the floor can be touched up without sanding the floor.
