Wood grading
No one piece of wood is the same as any other. Depending on the surface, from harmonious and calm to distinctive and lively, we put together selected woods for our gradings. Find out more about them here.
Harmonious
The natural mix makes all the difference: for the "harmonious" grading we select fine woods with a restful look and balanced, natural colouring. They do not contain many knots or much brownwood or sapwood.
Lively
In this grading, we specifically offer surfaces with strong colouring and structure which emphasise the natural character of the wood. Healthy knots, sapwood and brownwood are a part of the overall lively look. Broken knots are professionally repaired.
Distinctive
Fascinating colouring and structure emphasise the distinctive character of the flooring surface. High proportions of sapwood and brownwood create the boldly expressive look.
Rustic
This grading offers a rustic look with a strong colour and structure pattern. Healthy knots are not limited in diameter and frequency. Knots and cracks are repaired using the appropriate colour. Varying side sapwood sections or sapwood sections throughout the entire length define the rustic overall appearance of the flooring.
